You will be retroactively charged for tolls. We will have the toll bill(s) with respective dates for you to verify.

We do have a two-day rate minimum. What’s that mean? You can certainly rent our van for hours or a single day, but the rate will still be for two days. This is due to the logistics involved in doing short-term rentals, including full detailing jobs between rentals, offering custom delivery options, etc.

  1. We specialize in 15-passgener vans. Need one? We’re for you! We know this type of van is hard to find, especially because sites like Turo don’t allow them (Turo vehicles max out at 10 seats) and they’re frequently unavailable major rental companies. Need any other type of transportation? We’re not for you!
  2. You know exactly what type of van you’re renting. Unlike the major rental companies, we’ll never tell you “you’ve reserved a Mercedes Sprinter or something similar.” We have a specific van booked for you, and it’ll either be a Mercedes Sprinter or a Ford Transit. Period.
  3. High-touch customer experience. We’re a small business and we take your experience seriously. Avoid phone trees and wait times – talk to real people who genuinely want to help your rental be stress-free and successful. Want evidence? Check out our growing 5-star reviews.
  4. Honest service. We’ll never claim to be perfect, nor will we claim to always have the lowest prices – but we’ll always be in your corner. We don’t do sneaky fees or hidden agendas.
  5. Unlimited mileage. We don’t have daily mileage maximums or extra charges for driving out of state like many other local companies. Get where you need to go without the stress of watching your miles.

We sure do! For a delivery fee (which varies depending on the location), we can usually accommodate requests for custom delivery and retrieval locations within Austin/DFW, in other Texas markets, and even outside the state. Subject to availability!

As close to how you received the van as possible! If you find the van is not in top condition when you picked it up, please let us know immediately.

You do not need to wash the exterior of the car (and if you do, it’s critical that it’s only hand-washed, as brushes or automated car washes damage the pain and ceramic coating of the vans). However, there should be no lingering trash and the van should be returned with the same amount of fuel that you picked it up with.

There will be an additional fee for deep cleaning if the van is returned with excessive trash or uncleanliness beyond the normal wear of a rental.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept pet guests at this time. Any violations will incur additional fees.

We do not. However, if someone in your group is willing to be the driver, you can often save hundreds to thousands of dollars!

We sure do. We have discounts for:

  • Renters who are Veterans, first responders, or educators (10%)
  • Longer-term rentals (one week+, one month+, and three months+. The longer you rent, the steeper the discounts!)
  • Seasonal and limited-time/flash sale discounts.

Not at this time. To rent a Hawk Van, you must have your own (or company, if renting on behalf of a business) vehicle insurance that covers rentals.

No special license required. Mary, one of the owners, if 5’2″ and has found she can quite comfortably drive these vans.

Please be aware that they require an 11ft clearance, so are not acceptable for garages, drive-thrus, some tunnels, or other height-restricted areas (and watch low-hanging branches!).
